Asha & Simon – August 13, 2011

I’ve known Asha and Simon for many years. Years before they became a couple. Asha is Jagoda’s best friend, and Simon is Nick’s brother. I thought it would be easier to write something, but it’s not. Because I know them well, I’m finding it much more difficult to write.
All I can say, is that Asha is one of the most beautiful, gentle souls I have met. She loves animals, and she loves people. She loves everyone in her life with her great big heart.
While Asha is outgoing, Simon is more of the strong, silent type. Together they complete each other. I see a change in them both. There is a certain look in each of their eyes when they look at each other. I hope I have captured this and communicated it, because it is very special.
You are both loved very much by the people in your lives. You hold a special place in all of their hearts. I wish you all the best. I know you have found your soul mate in each other, and will live with all the happiness that life can bring.
As the Hall’s would say, “Cheers!”

Take note of the painting behind Asha. It’s a piece Nick painted of Poland. Asha immigrated from Poland, and little did I know about this painting when I started to photograph her in front of it.

It’s hard to even put into words how these two make me feel. Just beautiful people inside and out.
Seeing them interact with friends and family on their wedding day filled me with absolute joy.
Carolyn grew up in London but moved away to live in Denmark. There she met Thomas. The love of her life. It’s very apparent how in love they are.
There were many Danish traditions at their wedding which made the night very unique. One of my favorites was the Danish Waltz. The couple dances, then a few moments later they are interrupted by the groomsmen who proceed to sweep the groom off his feet, take off his shoes, snip his socks with scissors, snip his tie, and snip his undies! Talk about a hoot! Another beautiful moment was a song sung by everyone as they lit candles and presented them to the bride and groom. Such a beautiful, heartfelt moment which was interrupted by red wine spilling all over the bride’s and the mother of the bride’s dress! Carolyn and her mom were great sports about it. They just smiled, and laughed.
Carolyn and Thomas belong to a special kind of family. They love greatly and are loved greatly. I wish them all the happiness in the world, which I know, they have already found.

It was an absolute joy to photograph Heather and Mike on this gorgeous day.
I was blown away with Heather’s natural beauty and calmness in front of the lens. Every movement she made looked perfect. Mike didn’t do too bad either! (Get used to it Mike. It’s all about the bride!)
These two had no problem showing affection and getting very romantic with one another. A photographers dream!
You are both gorgeous, and in love, and I cannot wait to capture your special day in exactly 10 days!
